I can’t grow a moustache to save my life. I’ve tried time and again but what always amounts to a bad teen-age folly is the reminder that birds will never nest in my facial hair.
So, when Rachel Wright approached me with the opportunity to work with her on the MoDawgs campaign for her brother I immediately saw the chance to redeem myself. Not with incredible feats of hirsute achievement but through drawing.
We live in an era where information is a highly valued commodity and available as fast as light. Yet, common awareness of men’s health issues still feels hidden, even taboo. Throughout my life I’ve experienced this dichotomy first-hand.
I’m honored to participate in this campaign and offer my skills as an artist and designer. I’ve donated my studio time to the Movember cause because I believe in the power of an informed community. I also believe that with enough participation, over time, we can find solutions to help fight cancer in both men and women.
A moustache alone won’t save a life but the support for creative research just might.
